If you are after some good quality and authentic, home cooked Nyonya food, then this is the place! I chose the Nyonya acar fish (pomfret) with steamed okra, and loved the bold and unique flavours used in both dishes. Tina was extremely polite and friendly, explained the ingredients used and shared her love for cooking, and her restaurant was decorated with artworks and beautiful messages from customers. Highly recommended!!

Food - Homely Peranakan food that’s done well. Not very pricy too. We like the braised meat which goes well with the fried rice. Interestingly, they also sell durians, which we gladly ate after lunch. Service - Very friendly staff. Tina, the owner was also there and she’s nice and chatty. Atmosphere - It has pictures drawn by their customers pasted all over the walls, which is a nice touch. Goes to show how much the customers appreciate the food here. Would recommend coming here for meals.

We were looking for a dinning restaurant and went there because of the good comments and rating. Our surprise was that all the meals could be gluten free, an exception in Malaysia. Moreover, the waiter was super nice, explained us all the recipes and recommended us dishes. She didn’t disappoint us, everything was delicious. I’d recommend the sticky rice dessert.

A well hiddened gem at Kimberley Street ! 埋藏在Kimberley Street的宝石 Unknow what we are expecting, Tina's Kitchen is near to Jen Pg Hotel and we were thinking of having some road side hawker foods after dinner. We're wrong! We enjoyed our meals so much that we had a repeated order dish, an additional dish and desserts for all too! For all these and 5 persons, total bill was less than RM300! External of the restaurant was nothiny fancy, once entered, it is a warm home ambient environment in welcoming visitors. All over the four walls was filled with beautiful Chinese choreography, hand painted pictures of visitors with lovely appreciative words from visitors all over the world who had enjoyed their meals here. Among the furniture are actually valuable antique 古董家具 such as we learned that the bench chair 板凳we were sitting on is more than 100 years old! We ordered and sample few dishes with simple description of home cook food be it nyonya or Chinese traditional food. Dishes arrived freshly cook and air filled with pungent aroma菜香, taste was terrific and unique which we rarely came across before. That prompted us to repeat a dish 再加点菜and add on another dish. After our full meal, we have no hesitation to order dessert to complete full course dinner! Restaurant was not full when we sat down for our meal. From where we sit, we can see quite some curious pass-by looking inside. Soon when we were about to finish our meal, restaurant is almost full - mostly foreigners and few local visitors as well. I am sure, they will be like us that they have made a great choice to come in for their meal. Tina's Kitchen definitely worth out top recommendation and our re-visit each time we come to Penang for holiday 一定会再来 Our sincere thanks 谢谢to Tina's Kitchen and wish that our write-up endorsement will influence others to decide to enjoy a meal here too Kimberley Street hawker foods? Sorry guys, may be next time 对不起,Kimberley Street 路边小贩美食,下次呗

Was walking around and decided to enter Tina’s Kitchen ‘cos we wanna try local Nyonya cuisine! And we are pleasantly surprised but the dishes cooked by Tina herself! We ordered the nasi ulam, steamed lady’s finger and pig’s trotter soup. And we must say every dish is delicious! I also like that Tina has a staff while deaf and mute, is capable of taking orders and assisting customers. Thank you Tina and team for chatting with us and making our first evening at Penang so lovely!

Before I came to George Town I looked up best dinner in Penang and then highest rated. Tinas kitchen was at the top of the list, so we decided to go there. It did not disapoint. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and thoroughly shown the amazing menu. We decided on the pork lor bak...Yum and the amazing Mary's cream cheese rangoons which is also amazing. For the mains we had the Kapitan Curry, Nyonya Nasi Ulam and the Assam Tumis Stingray (which we are not a fan of seafood but wow, it's like chicken of the sea) So much passion goes into her meals and it shows. Thankyou Tina and your amazing staff for the best meal we have ever had. Hey Michelin you are missing an opportunity here. Coming back tomorrow.
